I didn’t get on well with C++ Programming in Easy Steps myself, kept finding errors in the example code and didn’t think it explained some concepts too well.

I’m following C++ Without Fear (http://www.amazon.co.uk/without-Fear-Beginners-Guide-Makes/dp/0321246950) and finding it alot better so far!
